After realizing that the PW50 was wrecked beyond reasonable cost for repair, and since Paxton was getting too tall for it, we decided to look for a new bike for him. We spent most of today shopping around the local bike shops trying to find something that would work for him for a decent price. Unfortunately, $1600 is just too much to spend on a "he might like riding" venture.
We found this 2001 Honda XR50 in immaculate condition on Craig's List for $750. The previous owner was a former Honda mechanic. The original owner was an elderly couple that bought the bike to take with their RV and never ended up using it. This is one of those rare gems. I didn't even know you could buy a used XR without a torn seat!
Even if Paxton doesn't end up using this, we're going to keep it as a pit bike. It's just too cherry to give up. It is so choice, I must say. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Nice bike dude. Most of my family went the bike route with gas prices being what they are. Makes me want to go out and get one too
